A two-day model railroad show is scheduled for Aug. 1-2 at Garland Central Library, bringing a 40-by-32-foot HO modular layout to 625 Austin St.

When to go

The Saturday session runs from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 1. The Sunday session runs from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2.

What the display includes

The Spring Creek Model Railroad Club’s C-shaped layout has almost 300 feet of dual mainline track and multiple remote switching areas.

The display represents rail eras from the 1880s to the present, with steam and diesel locomotives as well as freight and passenger equipment.

The club began in January 1986 and sets up its modular layout at public locations about six times a year.
