Corrections

How to report an error and how DFW Daily Brief handles substantive corrections.

Accuracy matters more than defending a first version. If a brief is materially wrong or incomplete, we want to know.

Report a possible error

Email dfwdailybrief@gmail.com with the page URL, the specific statement at issue, and a source that supports the correction when available.

What happens next

We review the original source record and any new evidence. Substantive factual corrections are made promptly and noted on the article. Small spelling, grammar, formatting, or link repairs may be fixed without a correction note when they do not change meaning. Updates based on newly available facts are labeled as updates rather than corrections.

We do not remove accurate public-interest information merely because it is inconvenient, but we will consider safety, privacy, fairness, and changed circumstances case by case.
