Three men have pleaded guilty to multiple felonies in a North Texas payment-card skimming operation that stole account information from at least 783 victims.

Gheorge-Ciprian Hilitanu received a 30-year prison sentence. Victor Tecu and Ionut Firan-Alexandrau were each sentenced to 20 years, according to a Dallas County Criminal District Attorney’s Office release.

The investigation recovered more than 150 skimming devices. Investigators also found 237 re-encoded gift cards that contained stolen account information, illustrating the scale of the evidence connected to the scheme.

The operation targeted customers at CVS and Walgreens stores across North Texas during July 2025. Prosecutors tied the stolen information to at least 783 victims.

The guilty pleas resolved multiple felony charges against the three men. Hilitanu received the longest sentence at 30 years, while the other two defendants each received 20-year terms.

The Dallas County release identifies the defendants, sentences, affected retailers, victim count and devices and cards recovered during the investigation.
