Samwon Korean Cuisine reportedly reopens in Fort Worth: What returned and what changed

The McCart Avenue restaurant lists a phone number but no verified public hours; familiar soups and barbecue reportedly return alongside three additions.

Published 1 minute read

Samwon Korean Cuisine has reportedly reopened at 5201 McCart Ave. in Fort Worth, bringing back a restaurant that closed in 2025 under its former Samwon Garden name. Published reporting indicates the return is under new ownership.

The restaurant’s official website confirms the McCart Avenue address, lists 817-926-1515 as its phone number and describes its Korean food as scratch-made. Current public hours could not be verified, so diners may want to call before visiting.

What reportedly returned — and what is new

Reported returning dishes include galbi tang, seolleongtang, kimchi jjigae, soft tofu stew, bulgogi, seafood pancakes, japchae and bibimbap.

The reported additions are Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki and budae jjigae.

The alcohol application is not listed as approved

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission lists application 633497 for Samwon Korean Cuisine at 5201 McCart Ave., Suite B, with a status of Received. That record does not list the application as approved.

The ownership and permit records remain distinct

Published reporting identifies the restaurant as operating under new ownership. A reproduced permit notice names MDCT1 Group LLC as the applicant and Misook Kim as its managing member.

The available evidence does not establish that Misook Kim is the owner identified in the published reporting.
