Ellis County will hold two volunteer deputy registrar training sessions Aug. 6 at the Ellis County Elections Office, 204 E. Jefferson St. in Waxahachie.
The daytime session begins at 10 a.m., and the evening session begins at 7 p.m.
How to reserve a place
Space in the in-person classes is limited. Prospective attendees should call 972-825-5195 to reserve a place; advance registration is required for the evening class.
Who qualifies
Applicants must meet the county’s listed qualifications, which include being at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a Texas resident.
What the class includes
The class covers the volunteer deputy registrar training manual and includes a 20-question examination. Eligible participants receive a certificate of appointment and a supply of Ellis County voter-registration applications.
