Dallas-Fort Worth has a 30% chance of rain Wednesday, July 15, with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible before activity winds down during the evening, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth/Dallas forecast discussion.

The forecast high for Dallas-Fort Worth is 90 degrees. Rain chances are lower in Denton and McKinney, at 20% in each city.

When storms could end

Storm coverage across North Texas is expected to remain isolated, at 20% to 30%. Most activity should end by 8 p.m. Wednesday, giving residents a defined cutoff to consider when planning evening travel, outdoor work or other activities.

DFW is outside the main flood-risk area

The greatest heavy-rain and flash-flood concern is mainly along and south of U.S. 84, where rain chances are higher than in North Texas. That places the primary Wednesday flood concern south of the DFW core.

No watches, warnings or advisories were listed for the forecast area when the discussion was issued, and spotter activation was not expected. Conditions and official alerts can change after issuance.

For context, Tuesday’s DFW forecast also called for isolated storms and localized flooding concerns.
