The postponed July 16 game between the Dallas Wings and New York Liberty will be played July 20 at 7 p.m. CT. Tickets purchased for the original game will be honored for the makeup.
The WNBA said mechanical problems with New York’s charter flight caused travel delays that led to the postponement.
What the new date means for Dallas
The Wings’ official schedule has Dallas hosting Los Angeles on July 19 and visiting Portland on July 22. The new date creates a Sunday-Monday back-to-back for Dallas and a stretch of three games in four days.
- July 19: Los Angeles at Dallas
- July 20: New York vs. Dallas at 7 p.m. CT
- July 22: Dallas at Portland
The compressed stretch follows a July 12 victory over Chicago that extended the Wings’ winning streak to five games.
