The Anchor Room planned in Bedford with seafood, pasta and hiring ahead

A signed lease and pending state application identify The Anchor Room’s Bedford address, seafood-and-pasta concept and planned hospitality hiring.

Published 1 minute read

A restaurant called The Anchor Room — Seafood Pasta Spirits is in early development at 3005 Airport Freeway in Bedford, according to a state licensing record and the operator’s announcement.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission’s public inquiry system lists application 591704 for the restaurant as pending and in review. That confirms licensing activity at the Bedford address, but it does not establish an opening date or show that the application has been approved.

What the operator says is planned

Operator Blain Bastow said a lease has been signed for the location. In his first-party announcement, he described the concept as a combination of seafood, house-made pasta and spirits.

Bastow also said the project is still in early development. Plans include recruiting an executive chef as well as additional kitchen and front-of-house employees, giving hospitality workers an early indication of the roles the restaurant expects to fill.

What remains unsettled

The signed lease, address and broad menu direction are confirmed through the operator’s account, while the state record confirms a pending license application. Neither approved source supplies an opening date.

For Bedford diners, that means The Anchor Room is a documented restaurant project rather than a confirmed imminent opening. For prospective employees, the operator has identified the types of hiring planned, but has not provided a recruitment schedule in the supplied announcement.
