Methodology, limitations, and citation

A TDLR Architectural Barriers registration is a filing, not a building permit or proof of construction start, tenant commitment, completion, or opening. Costs and dates are self-reported estimates in the state record. The worker retrieves the complete 120-day window once daily for Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise counties. It retains valid filings below $500,000 in permanent history but publishes only the qualifying universe at or above $500,000.

Exact source-reported costs remain visible. A severe pending outlier is labeled “source-reported; excluded from aggregate pending review,” remains in downloads, and is excluded only from aggregate-dollar metrics until a recorded human disposition. The source fact is never rewritten.
