How the Comerica merger fits
Fifth Third says its merger with Comerica was completed Feb. 1, 2026. Before that completion, the companies said the combined bank would hold a leading position in Texas and planned a broader branch and ATM network.
Together, the state construction record and the bank’s merger disclosures place the Lucas new build within a wider push in Texas. They do not establish whether the Lucas location will replace an existing branch, represent a conversion of a Comerica location or follow another operating plan.
