High 5 Mansfield sign permit issued as opening date remains unannounced

A Mansfield sign permit and pending TABC applications provide new milestones for the $19 million High 5 Exchange project, but key visit-planning details remain unavailable.

Published 2 minute read

Mansfield has issued an exterior-sign permit for High 5 Exchange at 701 Staybolt Street, the latest documented milestone for a planned $19 million entertainment venue whose current opening date remains unannounced.

The city’s April 2026 permit report lists permit 26-001057, issued April 2, for illuminated channel letters, a roof-mounted sign and another exterior sign. The permit documents authorization for the signs; it does not establish that they have been installed.

The project’s documented timeline

  • December 2024: A Mansfield permit report recorded a $19 million building permit for a new, two-story High Five project at 701 Staybolt Street.
  • March 2025: The city said the planned venue would include bowling, miniature golf, laser tag and a rooftop concert venue. Its previously announced late-2025 target has passed.
  • April 2, 2026: Mansfield issued the permit covering illuminated, roof-mounted and exterior signs.
  • June 2026: Supplied Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission records showed two High 5 Exchange applications for the address pending and in review.

Taken together, the records show the project moving from a major building permit to signage authorization and alcohol-license review. They do not provide a verified opening day or establish that either alcohol application has been approved.

What visitors still cannot plan

High 5 Exchange lists the Mansfield location at 701 Staybolt Street, but the supplied company page does not provide an opening date, operating hours or prices. Until those details are published, residents can identify the venue and its planned attractions but cannot yet reliably schedule or price a visit.
