Tormenta is open at Six Flags Over Texas: Rider limits and visit tips

Tormenta Rampaging Run is open in Arlington. Here are the rider-height limits, coaster specifications and Six Flags’ visit-planning advice.

Published 1 minute read

Tormenta Rampaging Run is now open at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington following its July 9 grand opening, according to the park’s events calendar.

For families deciding who can ride, the key restriction is height: Riders must be at least 48 inches tall and no more than 78 inches tall. Those limits are listed on the park’s official Tormenta page.

What to expect on the ride

Six Flags says the coaster stands 309 feet tall, reaches 87 mph and includes a 285-foot drop at a 95-degree angle. The park markets Tormenta as the holder of six world records, including tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster.

How to plan a visit

Six Flags recommends arriving 30 to 45 minutes before the park opens. Its summer planning guide also directs visitors to the Six Flags app for current wait times and park navigation.

Before leaving home, families can use the published height range to determine rider eligibility. Once at the park, the app is the park’s recommended tool for checking the current line and finding the attraction.
