New $750,000 filing surfaces amid reported Plano medical center upgrade plans

At 5501 Independence Parkway, earlier reporting described HVAC, common-area and solar-covered parking work, but the new filing’s exact scope is unclear.

A new Texas registration lists KC Capital – Independence Medical – Plano as a $750,000 renovation or alteration project. Its status is “Project Registered.”

A KC Capital commercial listing associates Independence Medical Center with 5501 Independence Parkway in Plano. Published commercial-real-estate reporting separately described the 57,000-square-foot property as receiving $2.4 million in C-PACE financing for a full HVAC replacement, modernized common areas and 56 covered parking spaces topped with solar panels.

What the two figures do—and do not—show

The earlier $2.4 million figure covered financing for the described improvements. The available records do not establish that the $750,000 registration covers all or exactly the same work as the earlier $2.4 million financing.

Neither the registration nor the earlier project description establishes that patient or tenant access will be disrupted.

The new project joins other Plano renovation records, including a separate $750,000 registration for the NTT Data Innovation Center.
