A newly registered $7.173 million shoreline project covers parts of Lewisville Lake Park near a picnic area, former swim beach and boat ramp, according to state and city records.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation record classifies Lewisville Lake Park Shoreline Erosion Phase I as a renovation or alteration project. Its estimated construction cost is $7.173 million.
Where the work is designed to reach
The city’s previously approved design agreement places the scope along approximately 3,400 linear feet of shoreline. The identified area is near the Walleye picnic area, former swim beach and boat ramp No. 2.
The scope also includes modifications to boat ramp No. 2 and its courtesy dock. The city said the shoreline work was needed to address safety issues and preserve the shoreline and adjacent assets.
What park visitors should know
The two records connect the new construction registration to specific lake-access amenities used by boaters, anglers and other park visitors. They do not, however, establish that any of those areas are currently closed.
The approved evidence also does not establish a current construction start or completion date. Visitors should not treat the registration itself as a closure notice or project calendar.
