Master Hatters of Texas has registered a $650,000 addition to its existing building in Garland, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project record.
The filing identifies the project as a building addition but does not specify how much space would be added.
An established Garland manufacturing operation
Master Hatters identifies 2945 Market Street as its wholesale, made-to-order manufacturing facility. The company says the site is not open to walk-in customers.
According to the company’s account of its history and operations, William C. Cook established Master Hatters in 1968. The manufacturer says its Garland operation occupies a 5.5-acre site with a 50,000-square-foot facility where it makes straw, wool and fur-felt hats.
The company says that in 2024 the Garland operation was producing 70 dozen hats per day.
What the registration does not establish
