New alcohol applications mark progress for North Richland Hills restaurant park

State records show two received filings at 5301 Davis Blvd., but neither an opening date nor each concept’s building assignment is confirmed.

Two newly received alcohol applications mark progress for the planned Jakes Burgers and Tacos & Avocados restaurant park in North Richland Hills, but they do not establish when either restaurant will open.

Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission records list applications 636698 and 636706 for Jakes Burgers Tacos & Avocados at 5301 Davis Boulevard, Buildings 100 and 200. The state entries are received applications, not issued licenses, and the available records do not assign either concept to a specific building.

What the city announced

North Richland Hills Economic Development placed the project at the northwest corner of Davis Boulevard and Lola Drive. The city described two full-service restaurants with bars, outdoor seating and family play areas.

When officials announced the December 2025 groundbreaking, they said Jakes Burgers and Tacos & Avocados would be connected by shared outdoor dining and family play areas. The city anticipated an opening around late 2026, but the new applications do not confirm that schedule.

The filings therefore provide a permitting update, not an opening announcement. Neither a firm opening date nor the concept-to-building assignments have been confirmed. A similar distinction applies to Velvet Taco’s planned Las Colinas location, where received state applications also do not establish an opening date.
