Dallas-Fort Worth gas prices rise about 25 cents in a week

Dallas averaged $3.611 a gallon and Fort Worth-Arlington $3.609 on July 20, both slightly above the statewide average.

Regular gasoline averages rose by about 25 cents in one week across Dallas and Fort Worth-Arlington, according to a July 20 snapshot from AAA.

Dallas reached $3.611 a gallon, up 24.5 cents from $3.366 a week earlier. Fort Worth-Arlington reached $3.609, up 25.3 cents from $3.356.

How DFW compares

The two local averages are nearly identical and both sit slightly above the $3.571 Texas average. Nationally, regular gasoline averaged $4.003 on July 20.

Published reporting linked the national average’s return to $4 with resumed U.S.-Iran attacks. It also reported that Brent crude rose 3.2% Monday to $90.95 per barrel.
