Weatherford College trustees unanimously approved a $390,000.03 contract for stair repairs at Coyote Village, the college’s records show.
The contract went to F.H. Paschen/S.N. Nielsen & Associates through a consent-agenda vote documented in the May 2026 board packet.
What the bids and repair plan show
The college received three proposals ranging from $390,000.03 to $651,250. The selected proposal was the lowest amount identified in that range.
The approved work included replacing lightweight-concrete landings and using stainless-steel handrails instead of painted galvanized steel, according to the college’s April 2026 bid materials.
A separate state registration describes an estimated $390,000 Weatherford project involving repairs and replacement of stair stringers, treads and handrails.
Completion remains unconfirmed
The bid tab listed July 10, 2026 as the deadline for substantial completion. The reviewed records do not establish whether the work was completed by that date or how construction affected access for Coyote Village residents.
