The Rockwall County Tax/Vehicle Registration Office will remain open during a state system disruption, but the outage may prevent it from processing motor-vehicle, disability, and Parks and Wildlife transactions, according to a county alert.
What to know before visiting
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles identifies the affected platform as the Registration and Title System, or RTS. The agency’s July 17 notice archive says the system was unavailable for some counties and regional service centers.
TxDMV said in its latest listed July 17 update that network restoration work was continuing. It did not provide an estimated restoration time.
Before traveling, call the Rockwall County Tax Office at 972-204-6130 to check whether the transaction you need can be completed. The office is at 1101 E. Yellowjacket Lane, Suite 110.
