Roanoke water park reportedly dumps ice into wave pool during dangerous heat

The park lists free standard parking and 2026 tickets from $20.99, but another wave-pool ice dump has not been confirmed.

Employees at Hawaiian Falls in Roanoke reportedly dumped wheelbarrows of ice into the park’s wave pool on July 20 as intense heat gripped North Texas.

Published reporting that day described dangerous heat across the region and forecast heat-index values approaching 115 later in the week. There is no confirmed schedule for another ice dump, so visitors should not assume it will be part of a future visit.
