Tornado Terry’s, the family amusement center at 4530 Keller Hicks Road in Fort Worth, reportedly plans to close Aug. 9 after 35 years.
Customers have through Aug. 9 to redeem game tickets for prizes. Published reporting also indicates that online bidding will be available for some games and that a livestream is planned for the final day.
Road construction and access
Owner Shannon Bell attributed the closing to access problems and customer losses during prolonged construction on Keller Hicks Road.
The City of Fort Worth lists the road-improvement project at $23,941,453. The city says one-way eastbound traffic remains in place while paving continues, with that work expected to run through early August.
