New $8 million Shield AI filing adds to Frisco construction trail

A separate $400,000 Star Business Park project is documented, but records do not connect the new filing to it or Shield AI’s Batcave.

Published 1 minute read

A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation registration lists “Shield AI TI” as an $8 million new-construction project in Frisco.

Shield AI’s documented Frisco facilities

Shield AI says its existing 107,000-square-foot Batcave combines production, engineering, office and shipping functions. The facility supports V-BAT manufacturing and seats more than 270 personnel.

A contractor’s portfolio entry describes an approximately 100,000-square-foot Shield AI and Martin UAV facility in North Frisco with 10 soundproof engine-testing cells. It says that facility was completed in February 2023.

A separate smaller project

A separate state record with the same “Shield AI TI” title covers a $400,000, 2,858-square-foot project at Star Business Park Building 8B. That filing is distinct from the new $8 million registration.

What remains unresolved

The reviewed records do not establish whether the $8 million project expands the Batcave, concerns the Star Business Park location or represents another Frisco site.

Elsewhere in North Texas, another state registration lists a $10 million BMW of Arlington project as new construction.
