Two state registrations list a combined $77,224,369 in estimated new construction for the Basic Academy and In-Service Academy at Dallas’ planned police training campus.
The In-Service Academy registration carries a $40,124,792 estimate. The Basic Academy registration lists an estimated $37,099,577.
Both Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records describe the work as new construction and list the status as Project Registered. That status does not establish that construction has started or measure its progress.
How the academies fit into the campus
A City of Dallas update identifies the Basic Academy and In-Service Academy as separate parts of a larger law-enforcement training campus at UNT Dallas. The plans also include reality-based training buildings, a physical-tactics pavilion and a Criminal Justice Center.

The approved records do not establish whether the two academy estimates are additional to or already included in the broader campus budget.
