DART rail schedules change July 20: What each line’s riders should check

DART riders should recheck Blue, Green, Orange and Red Line timetables before temporary World Cup service ends and revised schedules begin July 20.

Published 2 minute read

DART will revise schedules on all four of its light-rail lines July 20, one day after temporary World Cup service enhancements end. Riders should recheck their usual departure times because the new Blue, Green, Orange and Red Line schedules add, remove or shift trips.

The July 20 change is more than the end of the temporary World Cup schedule. It also brings revised timetables for regular rail service, so a familiar pre-tournament departure time should not be assumed.

What riders should check

  • Blue Line: Review the revised weekday and weekend schedule for your direction of travel.
  • Green Line: Check both the departure time and whether your usual trip remains on the timetable.
  • Orange Line: Confirm the schedule for each direction, especially for weekend travel.
  • Red Line: Recheck weekday and weekend departures before traveling July 20 or later.

DART lists 20-minute weekday frequencies during peak, midday and off-peak periods on all four lines. The agency also warns that weekend changes are more extensive on several lines, making the separate weekend timetables especially important.

How to prepare for July 20

Start with DART’s service-change page, which links separate weekday and weekend schedules for each direction of the affected lines. Select the line, direction and day type that match your trip rather than relying on a saved or familiar departure time.

Riders traveling before the reset should remember that the temporary World Cup enhancements remain in effect through July 19. DART’s World Cup service announcement confirms that the enhanced service ends that day and regular service resumes July 20.
