DART reportedly plans to hire Nathaniel Ford as its next CEO

The agency has confirmed Ford as a finalist, but a start date, contract term and compensation remain unsettled, with onboarding tied to negotiations.

Published 1 minute read

Published reporting indicates DART plans to hire Nathaniel P. Ford Sr. as its next president and CEO, moving the agency’s leadership search beyond the earlier selection of an unnamed preferred candidate.

DART has officially confirmed only that Ford was among three finalists. In a July 10 announcement, the agency named Ford, Dee Leggett and Monica Tellez-Fowler as the finalists for president and CEO.

The reported plan to hire Ford is not the same as a publicly confirmed, completed employment agreement. DART’s finalist announcement said the incoming CEO’s onboarding schedule would depend on the selected candidate and the outcome of negotiations.

What remains unsettled

A start date, contract term and compensation have not been publicly confirmed. Until DART announces completed terms, Ford’s selection should be understood as a reported planned hire rather than an executed agreement.
